Chestnut Lake is situated in a tiny hamlet in the heart of the Limousin region just 20 miles north of the city of Limoges, the Limousin capital. We have a total of 10 acres consisting an ancient five and half acre lake surrounded by large lawns and a private woodland.
All of this could be yours to enjoy for a week or two with your friends. There is just one price for the holiday with no hidden extras unless you request them!
We Help Professional Anglers Improve Their Skills
The lake itself is a spring-fed ancient five and a half acre lake which dates back to the seventeenth century (pre-Napoleonic) and can be found on a map of that time – it may date back further but we are yet to discover any printed documents for this.
We Offer Everything About Fishing
The depth range is from two feet to twelve feet.
All the banks surrounding the lake are low and are therefore easily accessible for both catching and returning the fish.

We have a modern lodge which sleeps up to 2 people.
Bait Provided
We want you to enjoy your fishing trip, so we can provide all the bait you need throughout your stay.
Easily Accessible
All the banks surrounding the lake are low and are therefore easily accessible for both catching and returning the fish.

Fishing Gallery
For carp fishermen, we have all sizes of carp up to 55lb, catfish over 50lb, pike over 24lb, zander over 14lb.
Stays are Friday to Friday
We have a modern lodge which sleeps up to 2 people. We offer a food package and tackle and bait boat hire. Non-anglers are welcome for a charge of £50.
