Just a five minute drive from your holiday home you will discover the Lac de St Pardoux which is a lake of over 33 km² in size and has three beaches with all facilities including hiring of boats, pedalos, children’s play areas, picnic areas, lovely sandy shores, a tree park where you can swing through the trees, and a bar / restaurant. During the day these beaches have life guards and there is always something going on for the children, from foam parties in the day to laser music shows at night.
If the beach is not for you why not escape to the city of Limoges, it’s only a 20 minute drive to the centre. Here you will discover the old culture of France mixed with the new. You can wander down the old town through all the lanes and peer into the individual shops or have a coffee in one of the many café bars and just relax – you are on holiday after all!
There are many tourist attractions in Limoges including a large aquarium for the kids and a train which will take you on a guided tour of the city. You can eat in one of the restaurants along the river bank or take a journey
through time by visiting the old cathedral. There is a large food market in the centre of the old town selling anything from cheese to fish and is definitely worth a visit.
